Dr. Oleksandr Karpin

Oleksandr received a Ph.D. from the Department of Electronic Computing Machines, Lviv Polytechnic National University, Ukraine, in 2008. He is currently a Sr. Principal Systems Engineer at Infineon Technologies, a semiconductor solutions company with headquarters in Germany. Oleksandr has 20+ years of industry and academic experience in algorithms, embedded system solutions, SoC and ASIC designs and architectures.
His research interests include Human-Machine-Interfaces, Biometrics, Sensors, IoT, Wireless connectivity, and Artificial intelligence for embedded solutions. Oleksandr has 36 US patents.

Dr. Orest Akymyshyn
Infineon Technologies, Ukraine

Orest received a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from Lviv Polytechnic National University, Ukraine, in 2009. He is currently a Principal Systems Engineer at Infineon Technologies, a semiconductor solutions company with headquarters in Germany. Orest has 15+ years of industry experience in embedded system solutions, hardware software co-design, and firmware development.
His research interests include IoT, firmware development methodology, security in embedded solutions.

Abstract:
Infineon Technologies is a world leader in semiconductor solutions. Over the past decades, we have developed microcontroller, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and combined connectivity solutions and hardware-based security technologies. The products are used in a broad range of applications: from consumer electronics, IoT and home appliances to IT equipped, cloud security and networked cars all the way to credit and debit cards, electronic passports and IDs.
