Background

The special session aimed to unite researchers and practitioners working on the development, scientific, and technical support of critical systems and infrastructures across their entire life cycle. This includes addressing the role of the human operator and the human operator’s decision-making capabilities. From a systems perspective, intellectual activity and benefits in ensuring safety in complex systems are considered, including mathematical models and algorithms for human-machine interaction; engineering, technical, psychological, and biomedical aspects of the human factor; and business processes and risk management issues in the creation and operation of critical systems across various industries.

During the seminar, participants, experts, and participants from academia and industry will learn about contemporary issues and challenges in ensuring the security and safety of critical systems and infrastructures. New scientific developments will foster security cooperation, joint decision-making in security education, and risk mitigation in human-machine systems.

Key Topics

  • Critical systems, technologies, human-machine systems (HMSs), optimization of human-machine cooperation in complex systems
  • System-synergetic analysis and modeling of critical systems, interdisciplinary direction of scientific research
  • Intellectualization of complex systems, development of human-machine intelligence
  • AI-based approaches and benefits in ensuring safety for complex HMSs
